Types of Hockey Canada Memberships

There are currently 3 types of memberships that can be added to a registration form:

  • Hockey Canada Player

  • Hockey Canada Coach

  • Hockey Canada Volunteer

We recommend making a separate registration form for each of these types, not including them all on the same form. You can include coach and volunteer on one, but will make the registration process worse for the registrant.

Recommendation for Registering Players New to Hockey

It is recommended that a separate form is created for players new to hockey, and that this form does not include the Hockey Canada Player membership on it. The reason for this is that new members will not have a Hockey Canada Player ID yet, and will not be able to complete their registration form.
